availableonthemarketforpurchasing.Therearealsoseveraldifferentwaysofpurchasingagun,

somegunsarepurchasedatagunstoreorunderthetable.Thegunstoreistherecommendedplaceto

andweighs40ounces.Itisanextremelysatisfactory,heavycaliber,militaryrevolver,withhighaccuracy

andverygreatruggednessanddurability.

soastoomitthelockatthefrontendofthecraneretainingonlythelockattheendofthecylinderandthe

frontoftheejectorrod.Atthesametimethehousingunderthebarrelfortheprotectionoftheejectorrod

wasremovedandonlythelockinglugunderthebarrelatthefrontendoftheejectorrodwasretained.

Thesetochangesweremadetomakethegunmoreserviceablebyeliminatinganypossibledifficultyin

closingshouldthemudofthetrenchesgetintothespacebetweenthecraneandtheframeorbetweenthe

ejectorrodanditshousing.Thismodifiedgunwascalledthe.44Militaryandisnowmanufacturedby

Smith&Wessonunderthatname.
