Click Browse for Use Oracle-Managed Files. If somehow, there is no ASM disk groups we’ve created earlier showing up in the list, make sure that all disk groups are mounted. One of possible causes is due the fact that we’re creating database from different home than the ASM home where listener is running from. Simply set TNS_ADMIN to the grid home where ASM is then run dbca again.

If ASM is properly setup, the list of disk groups will be shown here. Select DG1 for data.

Click Next. You will be prompted for ASMSNMP password which was set in the previous step.

10 By Ittichai Chammavanijakul| www.oraexplorer.com

Click OK. If you receive this error, this means that listener is not listening for +ASM. Exit now then configure listener and run dbca again.

Select DG2 for Flash Recovery Area.
