In 1787, the Constitution was signed. The

Constitution is like a set of rules that the
government must follow. It states very important
things like the powers of the government and the
rights of the people.
1

The first branch is the executive, then theres

judicial and legislative. But first lets talk about
the big man and his duties now that hes
made it.
2

I Choose
you!

Mr. president, Mr. president... hes in

charge of the army. He is also the
boss of our entire country.
3

He has the power to say, I CHOOSE

YOU but trust me, oh trust me, hell
choose people that know what to do.
4

He can also say yes to the laws he

thinks are best, but watch out
cause he could check no and say,
next!
5

Vice president, vice president, dont

leave him out. Hes in charge of the
senate and becomes president if
hes out.
6

Were done with executive, lets talk

about judicial. This branch has the
big court and they make things
official.
7

Supreme court, the supreme court, it

has nine judges in total. They are
given the big cases and call, Order!
Order!

Weve talked about judicial. Weve

talked about executive. Lets talk
about the biggest branch, this ones
called legislative.
9

The congress, the congress. The

congress has two parts. The reps. and
the senate, memorize it, its not hard.
They help make the laws and fix the
governments flaws. They do so much
for us. They deserve an applause.

10

The senate, the senate, they represent.

Failure is all they want want to
prevent. They make the states shine
Yes they do. They take suggestions and
opinions too!
11

Weve talked about the congress. Weve

talked about the senate. Lets talk about
the H.o.R the ones who represent. The
number of representatives is based on
population. We have 435 that represent
the whole nation.

The Bill of Rights

The First
Amendment

13

The rights! The rights! Its the bill of rights. They

protect the people. No one wants to fight! The
first amendment, the second, the third, and
fourth. Government cant walk all over you!
Show them what your worth!

The first amendment gives us the

freedom to do a lot. We can talk,
we can walk and believe in our own
god.

Second amendment gives you the right to

bare arms, which lets you protect
yourself from any evil harm. The third
and the fourth are also very important.
Soldiers cant stay at your home and the
police need a warrant.

The fifth amendment gives you the right to be

silent. So when you are arrested, you have the
right to be quiet.
The sixth also applies when you get arrested,
but dont worry this amendment keeps you
protected. This amendment gives you the right to
a speedy trial which means you wont have to
wait in a cell for a while.

16

The seventh amendment lets you

have a grand jury, so there is no
need to ever be worried. As long
as you plead your case right,
everything will turn out just fine.
17

The eighth amendment protects

those that go to jail from cruel and
unusual punishment. Now that
sounds fair!
18

The Tenth

Amendment

The ninth amendment protects all of the

rights of the people. This includes the rights
that arent included in the bill. All twenty
seven amendments apply and that is a
fact that no one can deny.
19

The tenth amendment gives some power

to the people. This power lets the states
make the laws they need legal. This
power is power that the government
doesnt have, so this power is for the
states just in case they need a hand.

The End!
I hope you enjoyed it.
