Upon arrival [made contact with the victim aaa? My investigetion revealed the following: ‘The victim was holding a sign in open view of the public at the intersection of College and Plantation Drive which read, "Death to America” on one side and "Because of Obama's polices” on the other. At which point an unknown white female yelled from the passenger scat of a Gray Nissan Titan bearing Florida handicep tag Z2TUM, "Why don’t you leave America”. The victim shouted back, "Give me some money’. There was a white male wearing an Orange shirt in the driver's seat. The vehicle continued into the McDonalds parking lot, the occupants exited, went inside McDonalds and after a few moments proceeded back to the Nissans Titan ‘The male was observed by several independent eyewitnesses shouting atthe victim, "Actually [like that sign.ajuci. to me" Themale then ran from the McDonalds parking lot across Plantation drive and attempted to take the sign from the victim's hands. A brief struggle over the sign ensued which escalated into the victim tackling the male to the ground where both subjects struggled to gain control of each other. After several seconds an unknown citizen attempted to break the struggle up and when he pulled the victim from top of tae male the female kicked the victim several times while the male utilized the break in the conflict to strike the victim in the face with a closed fist several times. ‘The male and female then left the area, got into the Nissan Titan and left the parking lot, which was captured on cell phone cameras by several witnesses in the parking lot. One witness in particular identified by his Florida ‘identification card ypersonally knew the male and female and positively identified them (offender) and provided a written sworn statement along with, ‘A BOLO was issued to OPPD who attempted to make contact with registered owner of the vehicle at his listed was provided a victim's rights pamphlet. ‘The subject had been contacted earlier this date when his holding the same sign which prompted numerous Reporting Officer: FRYER, H. The victim was on the public sidewalk, not on the business parking lot and was not impeding traffic. He was advised then he may continue to have some negetive reactions from passersby and to be careful. The victim stated he understood and indicated he had a cell phone to call with if he had a problem. This case is active pending contact with the suspect.
