Course: Communications 130 Section 3

Date: March 26, 2016
Discription:

A brochure for a hypothical Airsoft store.

Programs: Photoshop and Indesign

Objectives: Create a brochure for a company using photoshop and Indesign.
Demonstrait skills learned durring the semester.

Process:
Well I started out by searching the web to find some cool images. Once I
found the ones I wanted I opened up indesign and created two pages. I found a
brochure template online which I used the measurements to find where I needed
to fold. Once I had those in place I put the pictures where I thought I wanted
them and made a rough shape map of my brochure. Once I was happy with that
I took the images and edited them in Photoshop. I had to cut out all of them
and color them. I also found a cool font online that I used for the Logo and
titles. Once all the images were done I brought them back into indesign and
then I copied and pasted the body copy into the design. I aligned everything
where I needed it and then I was done.

This was probably my favorite project so far. I wouldnt say Im a

professional photographer but I like to take pictures and I think I have an eye
for what is good. I really wanted to do a night sky picture with the same theme
but every night this week was very cloudy. Since I couldnt see the stars I had to
change my approach. In the end I think it turned out for the best.
I started by thinking of quotes I liked. I was watching the movie Gladiator the
other night. I love that movie and it has one of my favorite quotes in it What
we do in life echoes in eternity. After watching the movie I decided to use that
quote for my project. Then I had the idea to have someone looking either up at
the stars or walking into the sun. Because of weather I had to go with the latter.
I went at sunset and took the picture. I took a bunch so I had some to choose

with the outcome.
