festival of the chinese calendar. y This festival correspond to harvest festival

HISTORY
y This festival is also known as the moon cake festival

because a special kind of sweet cake ( yueh ping ) prepared in the shape of the moon. y At the time, china was in revolt against the mongols. y People opened their cakes. y Found hidden messages adviding them to coordinate their uprising with troop outside.

CELEBRATION
y The red lanterns wrought in traditional styles. y Embellished with traditional motifs are prepared for

the the occasion.. y The butterfly is the symbol of longeevity. y The lobster the symbol or mirth.
