Power Calculation

Conventional circuit
volume = 5 liters
Current = 1.7 A
Time = 19 sec
Power = Voltage*current*power factor
= 230 * 1.7 * 0.95
= 371.45 W
Work done = Power * time
= 371.45 * 19
= 7057.55 joules
Modified Circuit

volume = 5 liters
Current = 1.7 A
Time = 15 sec
Power = Voltage*current*power factor
= 230 * 1.7 * 0.95
= 371.45 W
Work done = Power * time
= 371.45 * 15
= 5571.75 joules

Energy Saving = 7057.55 joules - 5571.75 joules = 1485.8 joules

From above analysis it is seen that as power output is increasing, time saving is
about 25% of total time. So if we operate this system for 24 hours then we will able
to save 6 hours.
Conventional circuit:
power = 50hp = 50 * 746 = 37300 W
time = 24 hr = 24 * 3600 sec = 86400 sec
Work done = power * time
= 37300 * 86400
=3.22 * 10^9 joule
Joules to KWh : 1 J = 2.77 * 10^-7 KWh
So work done = (3.22 * 10^9 ) * (2.77 * 10^-7)
= 891.94 KWh
Modified circuit:
power = 50hp = 50 * 746 = 37300 W
Time saving in modified circuit will be 25% of 24 hr, so it will be 6 hr.
So time required by modified circuit will be 18hr
time = 18hr = 18*3600 = 64800sec
Work done = power * time
= 37300 * 64800
=2.41 * 10^9 joule
Joules to KWh : 1 J = 2.77 * 10^-7 KWh
So work done = (2.41 * 10^9 ) * (2.77 * 10^-7)

= 667.57 KWh

Energy Saving = conventional circuit modified circuit

= 891.94 667.52
= 224.42 KWh
Now 1 kwh = 4.45 Rs
so saving will be 224.42 * 4.45 = 998.66 Rs
