Motivation and Introduction:

1. Both teachers and assistant teachers introduce themselves to their
group of students.

Align these with the
segment where they will
be introduced.

2. Today we will be making a story about a specific time in the day or

night using iMovie..


3. The teachers will hand out the ipads to students, grouped in groups of
three to four children each.


4. We start our lesson by brainstorming on popplet what we already

know about day and night.
5. When the brainstorm is finished, question the students about what
they put in their brainstorm, a whole group discussion.

Lesson Steps (Lesson content, structure, strategies & Key Questions):

6. The teacher starts to explain what is going to happen during the rest
of the lesson
We will be making a story about a specific time of the day and
drawing a picture on doodle. You will be getting into the picture using
a green screen and telling your story.
7. The teacher reminds students that they are drawing the setting of
what they do at that specific time not themselves in the setting.
8. The teacher will divide the students into partners.
9. The teacher allocates ten minutes for the drawing and explains that
two minutes before the time runs out she will make a clapping sound.
10. After the ten minutes is finished, the students will be asked to save
their image.
11. The teacher askes for the groups attention and explains and
demonstrates how to use the green screens.
12. The first partners will start using the green screen with the teachers
13. Both teachers will be taking eight children each and explaining how to
use greenscreen. The assistant teachers will be split up between the

two areas.
14. Once the students have finished with the green screens they will then
move on to uploading the clip onto iMovie.

Lesson Closure:(Review lesson objectives with students)

15. Each student will show their iMovie to the rest of the group.
16. The teacher thanks the students for their hard work and explains that
they all did a great job.
