Van Everdingen & Hurst

Equation
For Oil deposit Aquifer

Equation

Van Everdingen and Hurst solved equation influence

to a system reservoir aquifer applying the Laplace
transform to the diffusivity equation describing the
flow under transient conditions .

t
.

This leads the determination of the influence of wter as a function of a

given pressute drop on the inside edge of the reservoir aquifer
system

Condition To validate the equation:

Van Everdingen -Hurst proposed a solution to the dimensionless diffusivity equation using the condition of
constant pressure and the following initial and boundary conditions :

1. Initial condition:
2. Inner edge condition :
3. Condition outer edge :
. Infinite aquifer :
. Finite aquifer

In addition , van Everdingen -Hurst assumed that the aquifer was characterized by :
Thickness uniform
permeability constant
constant porosity compressibility of rock
constant water solution to ecuancion to a reservoir - aquifer system
considering the boundary conditions described in , for calculating the influence of water as a dimensionless parameter called dimensionless
water influx WeD ,
which is a function of dimensionless time tD and the dimensionless radius rD
