5. Describe the Principle in Action: I observe a caregiver interacting with a child during diaper
changing. The caregiver respect the child because she explain what she was going to do
before she did it. She talk to the child the whole time while changing her. The caregiver took her
time while changing the child. She showed the child respect while communicating with her, she
would let the talk to the child and waited until the child finish battling before she started talking.
While changing the child she lotion the child. All hands the supplies the caregiver needed was

childs diaper she dress the child. Then the caregiver and the child went to the sink to wash their
hands. While washing their hands the caregiver explain the steps to hand washing.
The caregiver showed the child respect by communicating with her while changing her diaper.
She showed the child respect by describing everything she was going to do before she did it.
She respect the child by using wipes and lotion to clean the child. She respect the child by
communicating back and forth with the child. The child didnt cry while getting her diaper
change. The child seem happy while getting her diaper change. The caregiver dress the child
and then went to wash both of their hands. This was a great experience. I like the way she
