Any claim should be promtly fed wit the transportation company. Save the shipping container to subtaniate the clam. MECHANICAL INSTALLATION The AK-350 Altitude Reporter is normally mounted in the feauipment rack, or eabin area, ef beneath the instrument panel, which is the temperature ‘convolled environment, either pressurized or non pressurized are. It shouldbe located away from hester vents and fresh aw vents temperature. Its ‘mounting base should be adequately secured in sccordance with all applicable FAR. GENERAL ‘This section describes the ope Reporter (Altitude Encoder tion of the AK-350 Altitude OPERATION The AK-350 Altitude Reporter is an integrated circuit technology based equipment. The companion ATC Transpondes normally controls the operation of the Altitude Reporter by automatically enabling or cisabing ts operation, ‘This is done by puling-up to logic LOW (to enable) or pulng: down to logic HIGH (to disable) the STROBE (Pin 6) ine of the Altitude Reporter. Its in operation (enabled! any time the Transponder is set to the Altitude mode (Mode C) of operation. The digital attitude data is inhibited (disabled) any time the [Alitude mode is turned off or to the Ident mode (Mode Al 24.
