CIUDAD:
Whole class group and in pairs.
- Let the students guess what ciudad could mean by giving
some clues.
- In pairs, they will be given an exercise in where there will
be the name of a place of the city and the picture of this
place or building. The task will be matching the name of it
and the picture. There will be the following buildings:

Supermercado
Escuela
Estacin
Tienda
Comisaria

A lot of these places have similar names in English so we
expect them to do this exercise quite fast. However, when
we do the collective checking, there will be an important
emphasis on the pronunciation of each word.
While explaining them a little bit more in depth, there will
be pictures in the board so that they can relate to them.

SONG:
Whole class group
- Then, we will sing the song follow the leader, which
includes a lot of orientation phrases like izquierda,
derecho, delante, detrs. There will be a video on the
screen with the music but we will do the choreography.

The song will be repeated several times and the students


will be engaged to stand up and dance the choreography of
the song.
After the song, there will be a small recap of the specific
vocabulary that is needed to give directions in a city:
Derecha
Izquierda
Delante
Detrs
Entre

DIRECTIONS:
Table groups.
- Each table group will be given a map of a city and will be
given some indications that they will have to follow to find
some places in the city. Once they have found them, they
should label the building correctly.
- There will always be a legend to help them remember the
directions and find the places.
FINAL TASK:
Whole class group.
- In the final activity, the students will have to stand up and
give directions to one of their classmates, who will be
blindfolded, to find a spot in the hall. If there are other
classes in the hall, this will be done in the classroom.

ENDING:
- We will say adios and will end the lesson.
