1. The new evidence from cosmic light and radio waves arriving on earth from
distant starry worlds has tilted two camps: those who believe we exist in an
eternal, infinite, never changing universe and those who believe the universe
was born in a cataclysmic explosion some 10 to 20 billion years ago.
2. Those speeding wisps of hydrogen, now condensed into star-studded galaxies,
make up our expanding universe. It is as if the galaxies were raisins move
apart in every direction in the rising batter.
arah ketika adonan naik.
3. The steady-state men suggest that new galaxies are continually formed out of
hydrogen gas in intergalactic space, thereby filling in the space left by the
hurtling galaxies.
4. The big-bang theory was born in 1922, when Dr. Alexander Friedman, a
Russian mathematician, found an alternative approach to the field equations
of Einstein's general relativity theory and went on to predict the possibility of
an expanding universe.
memprediksi kemungkinan pengembangan alam semesta.
5. The hint had to wait for the construction of the giant telescope on Mt.
Palomar after World War II, the development of the atomic-energy theory and
the invention of radio telescopes.

10. Ultimately, they will fall into that primitive ball, only to explode once more
and repeat the cycle endlessly.
11. In an approach to the problem of the origin of the universe, Prof. Martin
Rylem, working in the 50s with the radio telescope at Cambridge, mapped
