I. PREPARATION

Overall Objectives of the lesson: By the end of this lesson, students will improve their
language skills. They will learn about discourse as the meanings of the words sometimes
change according to contexts they are in. They will have a metalinguistic awareness about the
language.

Behavioral Objectives: By the end of this lesson, students will be able to:
use a word in different contexts.
construct meaning out of a context.
II. PRESENTATION

1. Warm-Up and Motivation: The teacher greets the class and then asks the class if
they know anything about the common reasons of the war.
2. Stating the Instructional Objectives: The teacher says to the class they are
going to read a passage about an extra ordinary war.

3. Presenting the Instructional Objectives: The teacher reads the passage and then
makes a student read it aloud again
III. PRACTICE
Activity 1
There is a vocabulary activity. It will improve an adaptation with the language of the text ,
students will have a better understanding of the passage. What is more, they will learn
different words. Students will work collaboratively.

Activity 2
There is a true-false activity. . Students will work collaboratively.

Activity 3
Students will find the meaning of the word and match them with their definitions according
to their contextual meaning. Students will work collaboratively.

IV. PRODUCTION
In this part, there is a an activity based on the understanding of the students reading texts.
They will answer the questions with their pairs.Teacher will let the students produce the
language according towhat they have learnt and they will use it. Teacher will check the
results.

V. SUMMARY
The teacher asks the students what they have learnt in the lesson and if they have any
question about the lesson after he himself summarizes the lesson.
