My Participants
I feel that some of my survey questions
were a little bit personal, and that some
of my participants wouldn't want to
share some of this information with me.
But I did want to get as diverse a
groups as possible, so I sent this survey
link out on Facebook and I got my mom
to email it around work. Also I got a lot
of the youth in my youth group to take
it as well, since my project ultimately
effects them the most.
Hypothesis
1.) I believe that my survey will possibly
show that there is no correlation between people going to church and
the likelihood that they have ever
been involved with a youth group.
2.) Since I am throwing this survey out
into the general public, I do believe
that someone being a practicing
Christian will not affect the likelihood
of them going to church regularly.
3.) Just from what Ive already asked
around when I was deciding what
kind of curriculum to do, I feel that
most people will prefer a topic study
kind of setting over anything else.
My first hypothesis was incorrect/not enforced by this survey. Out of the 33 responses
that I collected, there was only a one person difference between the people who were
involved with a church also being involved with a youth group. My second hypothesis
was also incorrect, assuming that the people who dont go willingly to church were also
the ones who said that they aren't a practicing Christian. If they are not, then the data
doesn't support any claim. My third hypothesis was correct, seeing that 49 percent of
my surveyors would prefer a topic study.
