Please add specific comments about the student teachers observed strengths during this
teaching practicum and identify areas in which you feel further development is
necessary.
Observed Strengths: /

I know you have spent some time

preparing for the lesson and I understand
how frustrating it is when the classroom is
not cooperating. We must engage
ourselves in some deep reflection to
better understand our audience in an
effort to determine the right approach to
achieve our objectives. Young children
need structure, discipline, and guidance.
Structures must be put in place for every
aspect of the class include how to interact
with each other, team work, walking
around the class, participating in
discussion among others.
What I have notice from this class is that
they work more effectively individually.
They dont enjoy listening to long lecture
from the teacher. Understanding this
classroom dynamics would help you
creating activities better suited for them.
Shouting from you and your MST will not
achieve the goal.
General Comments:

Areas in which further development is needed:

It wasnt clear how the previous lesson was
reviewed according to your lesson plan. The
students did engage in some movements such as
jumping and turning. If motion was your lesson
from yesterday, then connection must be made.
Provide clear instructions to the students where
there wont be any confusions. Be mindful of the
activities you choose since some classes may be
unable to complete the task based on required
structure which may not be in place.
The students were disengaged and must find ways
to focus on the entire class.
Improve your questioning techniques. You must be
sure of what you would like to ask the students. It
is perfectly fine to use the lesson plan to remember
the driving questions.
