One specific area I am concerned about in my research is the excess of animal rights
groups who attempt to alter their claims because of their cause. Many, if not most, activist
websites, may make the statistics conform to their perception of animal abuse, and therefore
finding accurate and precise sources may be challenging.

This study examines the intra- and intergenerational links between intimate partner
violence (IPV) and animal abuse by analyzing a national, longitudinal, and multigenerational
sample of 1,614 individuals collected by the National Youth Survey Family Study from 1990 to
2004. The limiations of the study give insight on possible issues with finding the correlation
between human and animal violence.
