GENERAL PURPOSE OF LEARNING CONTRACT
The general purpose of this learning contract is to establish a mutual agreement among the adult
practitioner, the university supervisor, and the site supervisor in regards to the work to be completed
during the practicum experience, goals and objectives to be met, and other key information about the
practicum.
CONTRACT CONTENT
Main Project to be completed: Facilitate success focused workshops for undergraduate students
Additional work: Task Force on Engaging Student Success;
Assist with academic advising & early registration
Location where educational activity is to take place: WSSU campus, building subject to change
based on availability.
Weekly Schedule (not including special events):
 Wednesday-Friday 4:00-5:30pm
 After March 1st-add Monday 4:00-5:30pm
 Additional days subject to change with work schedule, will contact Dr. Love in advance
*Any changes in schedule will be communicated in advance between the adult practitioner and site
supervisor.
Specific Dates of Activities:
-Contingent upon university and students’ schedules-changes frequently.
Activity objectives:
 Provide students with useful success strategies (examples: time management, study skills, etc.)
Activity content:
 Self-Made Powerpoint Presentations based on students’ needs and interest
Instructional Methods to be Utilized: Discussion, Lecture, Demonstration, Panel

1. Learn how to create and analyze a needs assessment survey that will reveal different types of
support students need in order to successfully matriculate through their academic programs.
2. Develop oral presentation skills by facilitating workshops for freshman students
3. Develop understanding of student success patterns.

SPECIFIC METHODS OR TECHNIQUES TO BE USED IN EVALUATING THE EFFECTIVENESS
OF ACTIVITIES


Student participants in workshops will be asked to evaluate facilitator.
Personal anecdotal notes during & after workshops to be used as a personal reflection and
evaluation of each workshop.
Site supervisor will observe facilitator during one or more workshops and will be asked to
privately provide oral feedback about performance.
