Led all aspects of community education and outreach programming for a large municipal public safety
agency. Administered all communication efforts, as well as led a professional team in strategic planning,
problem identification, program policy and funding source development. Recruited, trained, supervised,
coached and evaluated a staff of professional educators and communication specialists. Developed
program goals and objectives, directed curriculum design and evaluation, managed work plans and

Directed a regional, nonprofit multi-agency network providing intervention, education and mental health
treatment of children and youth who set fires. Obtained funding, set policy, negotiated contracts, approved
treatment protocol and developed curricula for a county-wide youth firesetting intervention program.
Collaborated with multiple agencies and jurisdictions to provide cohesive and effective intervention services
throughout King County, WA. Program was chosen as one of five national models for youth firesetting
intervention by the U.S. Fire Administration (FEMA).
