Purpose: Teach students about the different instruments
they are

Standards: K.b.1.a

Opening Activity: Have students come in and find assigned seats. If they are not aware of seats we
will play a game and have them move around room and then see if they can come back to their
assigned seat.
Transition: Then students will move to their assigned seats where we will begin talking about
instruments they can use and how to use them.
Main Activity: Students will learn through different methods and rhythms how to play different
instruments.
Closing/Reflection: We will reflect by reviewing all that we learned throughout the class.

Assessment: Visual assessment by seeing if students are able to use their
instruments correctly

Main Activity: Have students read music along with singing their song for their program

Closing/Reflection: Remind students about concert etiquette

Assessment: Assess students visually by looking to make sure students are
standing and singing correctly for their concert.
