About Pate Ryu

Pate Ryu Ninpo Taijutsu/Shinobi No Jutsu: PRNT is a mix of traditional martial art with a modern
day approach to self defense modifying ancient traditional Ninpo Tai-jutsu techniques to fit modern day
street situations.. H2H combat and numerous traditional japanese weapons are taught...PRNT is a
stripped downed simplified combative martial art that trains striking, joint locking, throwing and
sparring, with and without weapons. PRSNJ goes more into the skill sets of the ninja, such as
Espionage, Infilltration, Intelligence Gathering and Stealth.. 3 katas are taught as the foundation of the
art. We've combined all the elements of Ninjutsu into one art to give the practioner a more complete
understanding of what it really means to be a Shinobi No Mono.. Many free form fighting drills and
variations of techniques are trained along with the Shinobi skill sets. All of the Tai Justsu and weapons
are covered in White through Black Belt. Advanced stages goes into the special skills of the shinobi.
Shinobi No Jutsu... Even though much of our training is Iga ryu based, because of our diverse way of
thinking on adaptation and modernizing our concepts, principles and application of techniques, we
consider our family to be more of Koka Ryu philosphy and structure..

Pate Ryu Shinobi No Jutsu is basically Ninpo Bujutsu with historical ninjutsu study from the
Bansanshukai, Ninpiden, Shoninki and Iga & Koka ninja skills. Translations by Antony Cummins and
his historical ninjutsu research team, and the Takamatsuden.. My training background in ninjutsu is
Bujinkan, Koga Ryu Ninjutsu Society, Ghost Blade School of Shadow Warriors and Ninpo Goshin
Ryu.. Pate Ryu Ninpo Taijutsu is a martial art built on modern day street principles and concepts. We
use tactics for stand up, weapons and ground with the main focus of neutralizing the situation as
quickly as possible, while keeping the tradition alive.. This art has 12 short katas all together, 5 which
are freestyle covering everything from empty hand to weapons.. Two of those katas being the Kihon
Happo and Sanshin No Kata, 6 Kenpo Katas and the Shinobi Iaijutsu Kata.. We do scenario training
focussing on the most common street threats, and we do Randori with and without weapons. (Padded
training weapons of course for safety) Practical everyday weapons are trained also.
