Introducing our first childrens workshop, where
story time meets origami! The workshop starts
with a fun and interactive reading of a classic
Japanese childrens story. After this, the kids
will learn how to fold some of their favourite
characters from the book, with help from
professional origami artist Midori Furze. The
workshop will be conducted in English.
ABOUT THE ARTIST

Midori Furze is a Japanese-born


Sydney-based contemporary
artist who often works with event
management agencies to design
and produce unique origami
products. She has run many
innovative community art events,
such as Fold with Love - 1000 paper cranes,
for the Sydney Childrens Hospital and origami
workshops at the Art Gallery of NSW. Her work
reflects her Japanese background, having studied
Japanese calligraphy, music, literature and visual
art since childhood.

Two sessions are available:
Morning session 10:45 am - 12:00 pm
Afternoon session 1:30 pm - 2:45 pm
Recommended age: 8 12 years old
(children under the age of 8 must be
accompanied by a parent/guardian during the
workshop)
This is a free workshop, limited places available.
