AIWANN UNF PRIME MINISTER June 6, 2016 Please accept my deep personal appreciation for initiating New York's pioneering executive order against anti-Israel boycotts. ‘The Jewish state is facing a systematic global campaign aimed at delegitimizing it and negating its very right to exist. The libelous allegations used by BDS organizations as justification for their boycotts betray the blatantly anti-Semitic nature of this campaign, whose stated purpose is to isolate and ultimately destroy the State of Israel. ‘An executive order by the governor of one of America's most important and influential states demonstrates to the world and to Israel that we do not stand alone and that our American friends are behind us. It was heartwarming for all Israelis to watch you, together with tens of thousands of New Yorkers, march on Fifth Avenue in the pouring rain yesterday to express your support for and solidarity with Israel. We are encouraged by the anti-BDS steps that states across America have taken. By acting so resolutely against BDS, you have shown exceptional moral leadership and New York has significantly bolstered the strong American front against this hateful campaign I thank you and the great people of New York for this important contribution to the fight for truth and justice.
