FROM YOUR PASTOR

Mike Northcutt - ebc@eastmont.org

God has been putting a lot of new thoughts before

me and Im not sure how they fit our situation. Let
me share some with you and allow His Spirit to
apply them.
1. The bigger and older our church or city
becomes, the more personal we must become.
Most sheep dont run away. They wander away
and no one goes looking for them.
2. If God had a refrigerator your picture would be
on it. He is crazy about you. God doesnt love
us because we are valuable. We are valuable
because God loves us.
3. The power of the small is enormous. A small
stone slays a giant. Five loaves and two sardines
fed a multitude. A cup of water in the name
of Jesus and God is honored. Your phone call,
visits, and prayers are never in vain.
4. We are to be light, not lightning. Lightning has
a big flash and is over. It gets lots of attention.
Often it does damage. But a light is hardly
noticed, yet it quietly blesses and helps the city.
5. If you are no longer hungry for God, it is
because you are full of yourself.
6. Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.
7. Walking with a friend in the dark is better than
walking alone in the light - Helen Keller
8. To reach those no one is reaching we have to do
what no one else is doing.
9. Your candle loses nothing when it lights
another.
10. In the valley of the shadow of death. For there
to be a valley, there has to be a mountain. For
there to be a shadow, there has to be a light.
Our God is our mountain of strength and our
light of hope.
11. Prayer is the difference between us fighting for
God and God fighting for us.
