barelytouchesthegraphicschip.Itlookslikeitismakingfullcontactonceon,butIremovedtheheatsinkagainandonlyasmall
amountofthermalpastehadcontactedtheheatsink.TheCPUwasmakinggreatcontactwithitspartoftheheatsink.

IreflowedmylaptopbyremovingeverythingremovablefrommotherboardincludingheatsinkfanassemblyandCPUandRAM.And
thenIputitinOvenwhichwaspreheatedto385Ffor8minutes.ThenIopenedtheOvendoorsandswitchedoffovenandletitcool
slowly(around30minutes).

Uponsearchingthesaidissues,Icameacrosscountlessotherownersofthesamehpg62model,withidenticalissues.Obviously,my
searchalsoledmetoyourpagethispage,inwhichIcouldntthankyouenoughforbytheway.FromwhatIvegathered,the
problemseemstobewiththecoolingsystem/fan.Myquestiontoyouis,isitabsolutelynecessary,taketheentiremachineapart,
onlytocleanthefan?Iamnotfamiliarwithanypartofdismantlingacomputer,andfearIwoulddomoreharmthangood.Which
seemsquiteoddconsideringIliveinSanJose,the
