Children are able to compare the features of the shapes and materials.
Children are able to understand to make patterns with different materials.
Language Development
Children are able to identify that they listen and watch.
Children are able to do verbal directions.
Instructional Materials & Media [ASSURE (Select Strategies, Technology, Media and
Materials)]

2. Bubbl.us
Learning-Teaching Methods [ASSURE (Select Strategies, Technology, Media and
Materials)]
1. Use of motion pictures, educational films, videotapes
2. Put idea into picture
Teaching Activities [ASSURE (Utilize Technology, Media, and Materials and Require
Learner Participation)]
Teacher makes children to sit down in U shape. S/he makes them to remember geometrical
shapes which they learned before. Teacher has a conversation with children by using
geometrical shapes in the class and asks some questions about the features of them and gives
some clues so that they can remember. While remembering process, teacher uses
bubble.us. After that, geometrical shapes which are drawn in a paper are given children to
cut them. Children bring same shapes together and after that they are provided a paper.
Teacher says children to create a pattern which is in the example. Children create their

pattern in their paper using geometrical shapes. And also, Teacher can want to bring some
materials which are rectangular and square shape from children. In the class, teacher
provides discussion time to understand differences between rectangular and square. Teacher
can ask some questions like Can see any differences between them? and Can you give
some materials which are rectangular and square in shape in the class? at the end of the
activity, she uses easel.ly to show examples of shapes in daily life to children. After that,
they make patterns by using these materials.

------

Summary
Thanks to the activities, children can realize the shapes and their features. Their knowledge
became strong by making pattern. Usage of Bubble.us tool facilitates children to remember
shapes. Furthermore, they learn which materials have which shapes in their daily life thanks
to the activity. And using Easel.ly tool make them understand and happy.

Measurement & Evaluation
-------Measurement & Assessment Activities --------for Individual Performance
Measurement & Assessment Activities Teacher can ask some questions about the
for Group Performance
activity. These can be:
Do you remember this shape?(square etc.)?
How many corner and side does triangle,
square have?
How many triangle, circle do we have?
Which shape will come next to the circle?
Did you like this activity?
Teacher wants children to make a rectangular
and square by using their body in some group.
Also, she/ he provide that they can lie to make
a rectangular and square. Therefore, teacher
can understand whether children learn
differences between rectangular and square.
Homework (optional)
-------Explanation
--------Explanation regarding to the implementation of the plan
If children cannot make pattern, the pattern subject is taught again clearly. Also, if children
have difficulty to explain shapes and their features, activitys time can be delayed.
