The existing education system is theoretical and analytic. I think that, the
gains of students from university should be permanent and existing system
doesnt work in this way. Books shouldnt be the only source. Teachers
should make students ready to real life, I mean, the business and social life.
The determinative of quality of education is social and individual, personal
gains. So, in the ideal university, educators and teachers have big roles.
They should realize some important points. The points to take into
consideration are the importance of diversity, multicultural education,
needs of 21. Century such as social and personal awareness. Also the other
necessary thing is the education which away from stereotypes and
discriminations.

Ive learnt a lot of things from interviews that I did. First of all, there are two
points which are worthy of notice. Firstly, psychological counseling directly
affects quality of education in some ways. Its quite necessary in an ideal
education system because emotional and intellectual support incredibly
provide benefit to successment of students and informativeness skills of
teachers. Secondly, before the graduate education, determining of a
students weaknesses and strengths is so important point thus students can
acquire awareness and know that, how they study, what they mostly need
while studying and which study methods are beneficial for themselves.

These surveys which I did, show that the differences between American and
Turkish Universities is illustrative of the existing education system because
these show, students satisfaction levels and the students who study in the
U.S are more satisfied than the students who study in Turkey so I realized a
truth that in American Universities, there are more awareness, diversity,
sense of respect to a different race, gender, religion. Consequently, the
most significant factor which makes an university the most ideal place of
education is not only respect but also acquirement of these behaviours. So
in the ideal universities, teachers and other educators have to be able to
teach these acquirements.

I made a survey with 100 university students. My questions are '' Are you
satisfied with the libraries of the universities in Turkey? Why? Why not?''
and ''What can we do to improve the libraries of the universities in Turkey?''
Thus, I will learn what they think about the Universities good or bad.
According to survey results, we should make what we do for improving the
study areas of Universities. After I learn different opinions from students, I
will present these ideas in my project. For instance, my friend who studies
in METU, told some different about study areas such as a studying center.
This center which has a common area in the middle, and isolated areas
around can be designed. However, this center can be close the Universities
and there should be too many. Thus, every students can go to the study
areas whenever they want.
