Hip-hop is a music genre formed in the United


States.
It began in the South Bronx in New York City
and developed in the 1970s

Origin

According to one explanation, the term (hip-hop) hip that


means "trendy" or "fashionable" with the leaping
movement hop.
Its main elements that make up hip-hop are DJing (disc
jocking), street dance, graffti (street art), and of course
rapping (also known as MCing)

The history of hip-hop spreads out in every direction. It


dates all the way back to the 1920s when the earliest form
of hip-hop dance was created. It includes the Jamaican
dancehall toasting era of the 50s and 60s. It spreads to the
Last Poets and Muhammad Ali and Gil Scott-Heron, who
said there poems over beats. It works all the way forward
to modern day poets like Rakim, Big Daddy Kane and
The Notorious B.I.G.

This song is performed by a group but mainly by lead singer Melle Mel lead
singer and main rapper of group, The Furious Five but the Grandmaster is a DJ
that features in most of their music so when listening to then track youre able
to hear two very similar different tracks being mixed together over what was
already put out by the The Furious Five.
This group released their single in 1979.
The sub-genre of this track is DJIng. DJing was one of the main elements of
Hip-Hop. DJ stands disc jockeying when a person who introduces and plays
recorded popular music, especially on radio or at a club to be danced to
(usually street dance)

region of North America. Usually in the tracks either the words west coast are said or a hand sign
shaped W is shown in the music video.

hip hop and West Coast hip hop sections in the US, especially from 1994-1997. Triggers of the feud
were East Coast-based rapper The Notorious B.I.G and West Coast-based rapper Tupac Shakur, who
were both fatally shot following drive by shootings by unknown assailants in 1997 and 1996.

Usually when listening to dirty rap music, you can tell its dirty rap because the

Pop rap, also known as hip-pop, is a genre of music combining the rhythmbased lyricism of hip hop music with pop music's preference for melodic vocals
and catchy tunes. So its very similar to pop music but falls under hip-hop.
Usually when listening to pop rap, the lyrics are often light-hearted, with
choruses similar to those heard in pop music.

Miami bass is a sub-genre is a subgenre of hip hop music that became
popular in the 1980s and 1990s. Its roots are directly linked to the
electro-funk sound of the early 1980s.
Usually you can hear the use of the Roland TR-808 sustained kick
drum, raised dance tempos, and frequently sexually explicit lyrical
content differentiate it from other hip hop subgenres.
