No
5- With the newest trends being emphasis on tablets and mobile devices, how do you see the
future of Interactive Whiteboards? See is the iPad Mightier than the Interactive Whiteboard?
First, I do not have any experience using a whiteboard. On the other hand, I am familiar
using iPad. In my opinion, choosing iPad is the best idea for future of education for some reason.
iPad is cheaper than a whiteboard. Many students have own iPad, so they will be easy for them
to bring it to school. Also, the IOS apps are growing and focus on giving education the best apps.
6- Watch the Mondopad videoBye Bye Interactive Whiteboard. What do you think of this tool?
I watched Mondopad video. It is an excellent device that has many features such as a
touchscreen, video camera, sound bar and onboard computer. The Mondopad is useful innovation
because it shows a perfect quality of presentation. It requires an Internet connection. Also, It is
inexpensive to set up. Mondopad offers the application that enables users to draw interactively
on a whiteboard.

Third Task:
1- Identify four resources you found, and explain how they might be useful to an educator.
Smart Exchange: This website is very helpful for educators because they can find many rescuers
easily. Also, they could share and exchange lessons. Using on the interactive whiteboards in the
classrooms is a good advantage for teachers. Teachers could find the lessons quickly because the
website has easy access to contents. I choose English as second language subject as an example
to search on this site. I found every subject has many different types such as pdf or image, which
are very helpful for teachers.
Nea member benefits: This website offers a weekly e-newsletter which discusses ideas and
viewpoints about teaching, classroom management, and much more. It would be helpful for
teachers because the newsletters give them many topics and discussion to help them improve
skills.

Edusim: This website has an unusual idea. It will help teachers to show their lessons with a
creative way, and students will be motivated to participate in the classroom. Educators and
students could enjoy the 3-D experience.
Promethean planet: This website is excellent resources for educators because they can find any
topic to display through the IWB. Also, before downloading the file, a teacher can look to
preview to see some details such as description, grade, long, and size.
2- How may these devices be helpful in teaching students with disabilities?
I think the interactive whiteboard have a way to help a student with disabilities. For example, a
teacher can change the font size to make sure that will be clear for a student. Also, a teacher
could use a magnifier and hear the text read aloud with a narrator.

Fourth Task:
1- How difficult would it be to learn to use and interactive whiteboard?
I did not use interactive whiteboard before, but it is not difficult at all. I think when I learn about
interactive whiteboard, it will be easy to apply that with an interactive whiteboard.
2- Were the tutorials helpful? Explain.
Yea, it was helpful tutorials. I like learning from atomic learning. For me, as I am beginner using
an interactive whiteboard, I found the videos easy to understand. I watched I Have an Interactive
Whiteboard, Now What? tutorial. I found the tutorial very helpful for any beginner. It gives the
beginner the big picture of the interactive whiteboard. I watched three videos from this tutorial.
Also, I watched SMART Board Notebook 2014 tutorial. I watched seven videos from this
tutorial. It was helpful for me I learned many things such as add text and used a pen.

Last Task: (Summary and reflection).

In the article, Interactive Whiteboards in Education, by Stephen Brown, the author
explains what dose interactive whiteboards means. He points out the Interactive Whiteboard has
two different types. The two categories are electronic whiteboard and a large physical display
panel. He talks about the advantages and disadvantages of the interactive whiteboards with some
explanation for each point. Moreover, the writer explains how interactive whiteboards work, and
how could we activate them to deliver knowledge in an easy way to the students. The three
interactive whiteboards technologies are Resistive Membrane Electro-Magnetic and Laser
Scanners that discussed in this article. The interactive whiteboard can be used to do many tasks
such as saving the note the teacher wrote on the interactive whiteboard. Also, teachers can
present video through interactive whiteboard. Mr. Brown point out some of the issues interactive
whiteboards may face. The seven issues are, technical, functionality, accessibility, security, cost,
standards and pedagogical, and describes each one of them in details. Also, he mentions some
important alternative related to IWB such as the wireless keyboard wireless graphics pads Table
PCs and IWB tablets. At the end of this article, Mr. Brown mentions the positive experience of
using IWB in the education at U K these days and for the future.
After I read this article, now I have the good background about interactive whiteboard. I
believe theses information will help me in future. The article covers every part about interactive
whiteboard like how do they work? The coast, and the alternative interactive whiteboard tablets.
I think when teachers read this article; they will be more informative about interactive
whiteboard.
