MAXWELL’S RIGHT HAND GRIP RULE:

Use:
To determine the direction of magnetic field around a wire carrying current
How to use it:
Imagine you are gripping the wire with your right hand.
Grip it so that your thumb points in the direction of the current.
The fingers give the direction of the magnetic field.
(Remember that your current flows from the positive end to the negative end of the
battery.)
