Know all men by these presents that we Robert Parks [and] Polly Parks wife of the said Robert Parks of
Troy County of Oakland Territory of Michigan in consideration of the sum of Two hundred dollars to us
paid by Clark Beardsley of Troy County of Oakland and Territory aforesaid the receipt whereof we do
hereby acknowledge do by these presents give grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Clark
Beardsley his heirs and assigns a certain parcel of land situate in the Town of Troy, County of Oakland
and Territory of Michigan, bounded and described as follows viz: being the North half of the South west
quarter of section Eight in Township Two North of Range Eleven East in the district of Detroit.
together with all the privileges and appurtenances, to the said land in any wise appertaining and
belonging To have and To hold the above granted premises to the said Clark Beardsley his heirs and
assigns to them and their use and behoof forever. And we the said Robert Parks and Polly Parks for our
heirs Executors and administrators do covenant with the said Clark Beardsley his heirs and assigns that
they are free from all incumbrances; that we have good Right to sell and convey the same to the said
Clark Beardsley as aforesaid; and that we will and our heirs Executors and administrators shall Warrant &
Defend the same to the said Clark Beardsley his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful demands of
all persons.

In Testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals this twenty third day of March in the
year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and Twenty nine.

County of Oakland } Be it remembered that on the twenty third day of March in the year one
thousand Eight hundred and twenty nine came before me the undersigned a Justice of the peace in and
for the county aforesaid, the within named Robert Parks and Polly Parks his wife known to me to be the
persons described in and who have Executed the within Deed and acknowledge that they severally
signed sealed and delivered the within Deed for the uses and purposes therein mentioned and the said
Polly being by me privately examined apart from her said husband acknowledged that she executed the
said Deed freely without any fear or compulsion of her said husband all of which I do accordingly certify
according [to] the statute in such case made and provided.
