1 added a disk to a volume group

a) do a pvscan to show open disk

root@hostname ~]# pvscan

b) do a vgextend to add the disk to the volume group


vgextend vgclmdb /dev/sde1

c) then do a vgdisplay –v of that volume group it should show you the new disk.
2) extend a file system for 100 meg

lvextend -L +100m /dev/vgclmbk/backup1


ext2online /dev/vgclmbk/backup1
