Introduction When I was young I always stared at the sky. From time to time I found a bird flying in the air. I would keep thinking about that bird, trying to find a way to hold onto its wings so that we might fly together. But my dream never came true. I couldn’t even catch the bird; therefore, I was never able to fly with him. After I found Jesus, by the Holy Spirit, I started holding onto the wings of Yahweh, my Creator. From time to time Jesus gave me a vision of myself holding onto the wings of the Holy Spirit; the Holy Spirit is flying all over the world. When I tell this to people they think it is just a fairy tale, but this happens from time to time. I am speaking the truth today. Every day the Holy Spirit guides me to the wings of God. When I go under His wings, I feel so safe in His presence. I can say, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, for His glory, honor, and power.”

People in this world lose many chances because they are irresponsible. When Boaz saw Ruth. His gifts. But when we are around irresponsible. Those types of people always see the pearl as dirt. our lives will change for better. In the very beginning. the Holy Spirit guided Ruth to the field. The light of Jesus shines through His chosen ones. and His anointing with someone who is irresponsible? Those who are irresponsible are easily manipulated by the devil. Irresponsibility is a spirit. We need to make a choice to be around responsible people. Boaz saw Ruth immediately. God is looking for someone who is responsible. she made a choice to be in his field. Laziness is a spirit. When Ruth saw Boaz. he immediately took responsibility for her safety and her finances. lazy people. We can lose the pearl that God has given to us if we continue to be irresponsible. Willing to Pay Ruth 2:3-19 Then she left, and went and gleaned in the field after the reapers. And she happened to come to the part of the field belonging to Boaz, who was of the family of Elimelech. ow behold, Boaz came from Bethlehem, and said to the reapers, “The LORD be with you!” And they answered him, “The LORD bless you!” Then Boaz said to his servant who was in charge of the reapers, “Whose young woman is this?” So the servant who was in charge of the reapers answered and said, “It is the young Moabite woman who came back with aomi from the country of Moab. And she said, ‘Please let me glean and gather after the reapers among the sheaves.’ So she came and has continued from morning until now, though she rested a little in the house.” Then Boaz said to Ruth, “You will listen, my daughter, will you not? Do not go to glean in another field, nor go from here, but stay close by my young women. Let your eyes be on the field which they reap, and go after them. Have I not commanded the young men not to touch you? And when you are thirsty, go to the vessels and drink from what the young men have drawn.” So she fell on her face, bowed down to the ground, and said to him, “Why have I found favor in your eyes, that you should take notice of me, since I am a foreigner?” And Boaz answered and said to her, “It has Page 35

Take Me Under Your Wings been fully reported to me, all that you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband, and how you have left your father and your mother and the land of your birth, and have come to a people whom you did not know before. And when she rose up to glean, Boaz commanded his young men, saying, “Let her glean even among the sheaves, and do not reproach her. Also let grain from the bundles fall purposely for her; leave it that she may glean, and do not rebuke her.” So she gleaned in the field until evening, and beat out what she had gleaned, and it was about an ephah of barley. Then she took it up and went into the city, and her mother-in-law saw what she had gleaned. So she brought out and gave to her what she had kept back after she had been satisfied. And her mother-in-law said to her, “Where have you gleaned today? And where did you work? Blessed be the one who took notice of you.” Page 36

Willing to Pay So she told her mother-in-law with whom she had worked, and said, “The man’s name with whom I worked today is Boaz.” Boaz had Jesus’ heart. Jesus always makes a way for His children. Even in the time of famine, Jesus always leaves an open door for us to walk through. Ruth didn’t have fear to glean; Jesus made a way for her. God always wants His people to walk in His path. As we walk in His path, He will continually open doors for us, doors of blessing. When we go through the door of blessing, we will meet Boaz. Boaz helped Ruth. He took responsibility for widow’s and orphan’s lives. He carefully watched over them. God will honor those who stretch their hand out to the orphan and the widow. We want to see God’s hand stretch out every day of our lives. When you take action to help the poor and needy, in the time of your need, God will stretch out His mighty hand and deliver you from the hands of the enemy. Just like Scripture says, “…whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.” Galatians 6:7-10 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.

But when we drink water from Jesus. “It has been fully reported to me all that you have done for your motherin-law since the death of your husband. let him come to Me and drink. Ruth received 100% because she gave 100% to God. We were born naked. There are so many people who only give 10% to God and then expect God to give them 100%. and how you have left your father and your mother and the land of your birth. then you must give all to God. saying. Jesus will give it to you. If you want to have God’s favor.” It doesn’t matter who you are. Ruth was totally humble and broken. Whatever you give. his graciousness. John 7:37 On the last day.” Ruth received great favor. God spoke through Boaz. How much we receive depends upon how much we give.” In front of God. If we give 90%. we receive 90% from God. and said. “Why have I found favor in your eyes.

Take Me Under Your Wings ber how we were born. Everything around us belongs to God. We need to remember that no matter how much we have, we are still naked before God. This means that we don’t own anything. Everything belongs to Jesus. Even our parents, our children, our spouse, everything belongs to Jesus. When we die we go back to God alone, just like the Scriptures say. Genesis 3:19b “…For dust you are, And to dust you shall return.” This tells us that whatever we were born with we go home with. We were born naked; we go home naked. Those who love Jesus have a servant’s heart. Ruth had love for God. She did not have desire with anything in this world. Those who love Jesus have a servant’s heart. She served her mother-in-law the way that she served Jesus. Naomi was her pastor, her spiritual leader. God has a special blessing for those who honor, obey, and respect their spiritual leaders. Ruth was about ready to receive a special blessing. For those who come against their spiritual leader, their pastor, godly parents, or godly leaders, that blessing will turn to a curse. We must faithfully obey our spiritual leader the way that Ruth did. Scripture tells us that we should not grieve our spiritual leader, but there are so many people who mock and challenge spiritual leaders. When they challenge their spiritual leader, it grieves the Holy Spirit.

Page 162

Do Not Glean in Any Other Field Naomi’s daughter-in-law, Orpah, could have had this special blessing, but Orpah took her spiritual leader very lightly. She did not recognize the power of God working through her spiritual leader, Naomi. Scripture says, “Honor the prophet of God and you shall prosper.” We must honor the prophet of God. Orpah left God, her spiritual leader, at the wrong time. If Ruth had been just like her sister-in-law, her name would never have been written in the Bible. God would have used someone else. But she was persistent. She respected and honored the spiritual head of her house. Because of that, God made her a mighty woman of God. She had a very victorious life. We all need to make the right choice the way that Ruth did. When she made the right choice, the angels in heaven wrote down every one of her good works and told them to the children of God. Boaz knew every good work of Ruth. We all have angels watching over us. Scripture says that God will give His angels to take charge over us. Whatever we do in this earth, the angels of God are watching over us and writing down everything, reporting it to our Father God in heaven. According to our work, God will either reward us or curse us. Some people say that God will never curse anyone, but the Word of God tells us that God is a God of judgment and justice. God sends His angels to watch over us, to watch over everything that we do. We cannot escape from God. If we go to the east, God will be there. If we go to the west, God will be there. If we go to the south, God will be there. If we go to the north, God will be there. We cannot escape from the Spirit of God. The eyes of God are everywhere. Even during church service, God sends His angels to watch and see how we Page 163

Take Me Under Your Wings receive the message. Angels stand all the way around the church and write down how the saints receive the message from the pastor, the preacher, or the teacher. They write down everything; they do not miss anything. We need to watch out for how we receive the message. If God opened your spiritual eyes right now, you could see the spiritual world; you could see the angels and demons. This is my testimony. One day during service, the Holy Spirit touched my eyes and opened my spiritual eyes. I saw that some people had demons. Those demons were sitting on their shoulders, whispering into their ears. They were causing strife and sleepiness, saying, “Go to sleep. You are tired. Whatever the pastor is preaching is not truth.” The tragic thing is that people believe that they are hearing their own voice, but the devil is actually talking in their ears. He is saying, “Don’t receive this message,” and people are listening to the voice of the devil. Then I saw the angels of God standing in the four corners of the church. There were other angels standing next to people. Every moment a battle is going on inside and outside of the church. Through our prayers we can have victory over every battle. God gave us angels to take charge over our lives. Psalm 91:11 For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. Remember, even when we are alone, we are not alone. Your guardian angel, your warrior angel, stands next to you, watching over you. Because the angels wrote down every good work of Ruth, Boaz knew all of these good works. Jesus knows all of our good and bad works. Every time you serve Page 164

Do Not Glean in Any Other Field someone or help someone, your good works are written down in heaven. God will reward you by your good works. Jesus knows every one of your good works and evil works by the report of the angels. By Ruth’s good works, she received rest under the wings of Jehovah God. Boaz knew Ruth’s servant heart, faithfulness, and obedient heart. That was nothing but the grace of God. Jesus has been watching over us ever since we started life in this world. God gives us grace in our time of need. Psalm 91:14-15 Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. Every moment we have a choice, to do good work or bad work. We have a choice to keep good company or bad company. Bad company corrupts good morals. Ruth made the choice to stay in Boaz’s field, to have good company, to keep company with spiritual people. God will deliver those who make the right choice, like Ruth, in their time of trial. He will set them on high because He knows their name. God will answer them in time of trial.

Chapter 23: Beat Out the Gleaning .

Take Me Under Your Wings God always wants us to glean the Word of God and the grace of God. The Word of God starts with grace and love. God openly leaves His Word for people to study and learn about His character. We can glean the Word of God in Jesus’ field. We must glean the Word of God always. We need to remember that it doesn’t matter how much God has for us or provides for us, we must make the choice to glean—to glean His character, His Word, His Spirit, His living water, and His bread. Gleaning is like finding manna in the field. In the Old Testament it didn’t matter how much or how little manna they gathered, they always had enough for everyone. Gleaning in the field until evening means that you leave your heart and mind open to God 24 hours a day and live your life by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. Knowing God and studying the Word of God is a 24-hour obligation as born again believers. Yet, even if we glean, we must take care of our physical body, our family, and our church. Don’t use gleaning as an excuse to forsake your responsibilities. If you truly glean for God, you will be very responsible. As we glean we must take care of many other responsibilities. Ruth 2:17 So she gleaned in the field until evening, and beat out what she had gleaned, and it was about an ephah of barley.

Page 188

Beat Out the Gleaning Ruth gleaned all day. When evening came she had to beat out what she had gleaned and make food out of it. This is just like our spiritual lives. After we receive grain, we sometimes ignore the rest of the work. Many people hear the Word of God, know the Word of God, and study the Word of God; this is gleaning. After gleaning, we must use it on ourselves. The Word of God must become one with us. We must practice it on our lives and become the light and salt of this world. If we don’t use salt, it becomes useless. We must practice the Word of God. Practice requires self-discipline. Ruth beat out what she had gleaned. This means that we must let the Word of God shake us up, shake all sin out of our hearts and lives. Shake out rebellion, anger, unforgiveness, lust, confusion, deception, and fear. We must shake out those things. We must shake out the sins of homosexuality, lesbianism, and murder.

“Beat out” means pray. We must beat out laziness. Beat out means pray. Pray in silence. Pray out loud. Through prayer we can shake out all of our sin. The Word of God always takes us to the grace of God and points out our sin. As soon as God shows us the sin in our hearts and lives we must shake it out, beat it out, like Ruth did with her grain. Start today. We must shake out our wrong thoughts and wrong doctrine. We must pray the way that Ruth prayed. After Ruth took care of her life, spiritually, physically, and financially, God worked on the next step. We all need to remember that whatever we are working on will not be there Page 189

Take Me Under Your Wings forever. God always prepares the next assignment for us; we must go to the next level, the next step. God was working on Naomi’s heart. After Ruth beat out her portion, she came to her spiritual leader. She showed her everything that she had and shared with her mother-in-law. We must fill our hearts before we can give to others. Before Ruth gave to Naomi, she first took care of her own stomach. This means that before we can give to others we must first receive. We must fill our heart with faith and grace. If anyone wants to teach about grace and faith, they must first study. Let your soul be soaked with faith, grace, and the love of God. Ruth fed herself. This means that she fed her spirit. Before she shared her testimony with her mother-in-law, she fed herself spiritually and physically, making herself strong. Then she went to her mother-in-law and shared her testimony. Your testimony always touches people’s hearts and strengthens them. If you want to see other people have faith, then you must know what faith is. If you pray for people to live by faith, then you must learn and know about faith. Everything starts with us. We cannot expect others to practice something that we don’t practice. We cannot expect others to live by something that we don’t live by. Grace and faith always require selfdiscipline, a fruit of the Spirit. Everything starts with us. After the Samaritan woman met Jesus, after she received the grace of God and faith, she ran to the town and told the people about Jesus. Grace is one of the most precious pieces of news. Page 190

Beat Out the Gleaning Faith is the greatest hope for people. Faith always gives hope to dying souls. Faith is like the spring rain to dry land. The Samaritan woman received the grace of God. After she received the grace of God, faith rose up in her heart. Repentance and grace go together. Without the grace of God we cannot repent. When we receive the grace of God by faith: 1. We change the direction of our lives. We go to a different road. 2. We become very bold. 3. Joy takes place. 4. We have a grateful heart. 5. There is no more shame and guilt. 6. There is new birth, new energy. Before the Samaritan woman received the grace of God, she always hid from people. She believed that she could never go under the wings of God. She believed that she was not worthy to ask God to cover her with His wings. Before people receive grace they live under deception, but the grace of God always sets people free. It gives them a new heart and new spiritual eyes. Those who receive the grace of God have new eyes to see this world. They have a new heart to receive others and to worship God. Before the Samaritan woman received the grace of God, she felt shame and guilt. She lived under condemnation. She lost hope. When she needed to go to the well to get water, she always looked around and waited until no one was around. Her presence always caused people to stumble, to be uneasy and unsettled. People gossiped about her lifestyle and mocked her past. Her lifestyle was not a blessing to people, but when she met Jesus, everything changed upside down. When she Page 191

We knew that we didn’t deserve anything. and have a grateful heart to God for whatever grace we have. But as we treasure that little gleaning. we have the full grace of God.
