*Note: The consensus is LTC Gorham was killed on 12 July 1943. In addition, LTC Gorham’s hometown was actually Bellevue, Ohio but his wife, Corrine “Colonel” Bennett Gorham (later Clarke) lived most of her life in Wichita, Kansas.
