HENDERSON CALLS FOR DEBATES AROUND THE STATE IN SECRETARY’S RACE
STOW, August 26, 2010. Jim Henderson, the independent candidate for Secretary of the Commonwealth, has called upon his two opponents, William Campbell and incumbent William Galvin, to participate in five debates around Massachusetts between September 15 and Election Day, November 2. In letters delivered to the campaign offices of the Republican and Democratic candidates, Henderson proposed debates in five regions: Greater Boston, the North Shore/North Middlesex, the South Shore/South Coast, Central Massachusetts and Western Massachusetts. “The Secretary is the person who is principally responsible for elections in the state. The three of us running owe it to the voters to share our varied visions for this important office,” Henderson commented. “Compared to the 20 minutes worth of debate time presented by the candidates for Secretary four years ago, we have the opportunity to open up the process to people in each corner of our great Commonwealth.” Henderson stated that he was fully prepared to work with his opponents’ campaigns to coordinate dates and locations with representative organizations in the five regions. ### For further information, or to schedule an interview with Jim Henderson, please call Angela Mah at 508-904-4430, or e-mail her at angela@JimForSOC.com.
