EDUCATIONAL CLUB
WITH COOPERATION
Art education is the area of learning that is based upon the visual, tangible arts—
drawing, painting, sculpture, and design in jewelry, pottery, weaving, fabrics, etc
and design applied to more practical fields such as commercial graphics and
home furnishings. Latest trends also include photography, video, film, design,
computer art, etc. The purpose of this working paper is to inform about planning
for starting a Visual Art Educational Club for teachers trainees of Institut
Pendidikan Guru Malaysia Kampus Bahasa Melayu ( IPGM - KBM ).
2.0 AIM
The aims of establishment of the visual art club are to upgrade the status of
IPGM campus Bahasa Melayu as an ideal campus in any visual art activities and
be the main resource of this art thus becomes the resource center for schools in
Klang Valley.
3.0 BACKGROUND

Creating a club that plays important roles in organizing various fields of visual art
activities.
7.0 MISION
7.1 Developing an understanding towards visual art among trainee teachers of
IPGM campus bahasa melayu.
7.2 Producing well-skilled trainee teachers in every field of visual art and be
appreciative towards aesthetic values.
7.3 Inculcating aesthetic environment in IPGM
8.0 MOTTO
Universal Art Soul
This visual art club is suggested to be under Visual Art Education Unit
observation because of the activities involving different fields of visual art will be
implemented with consistency. Thus, Visual Art Education Unit will be the main
resource in every activity held. Other than that, the visual art expertises by the lecturers
of Visual Art Education Unit are needed to help the improvement of this club.
The development of this Visual Art Education Club consists of two main units
which are Gallery and Exhibition Unit and Activity Unit. Gallery and Exhibition Unit will
focus on the management of Visual Art Gallery and Children Art Gallery. In enhancing
the quality of these two galleries, trips to other IPGM art exhibitions and other visual art
centers such as ‘Balai Seni Lukis Negara’ will be held.
The second unit which is Activity Unit will focus on activities involving visual and
children art. These activities are held to attract interest of trainee teachers and give
them new inputs regarding these arts. The suggested activities are organizing visual art
carnivals among schools in Klang Valley and IPGM Zon Tengah, courses of different
fields in visual art, Appreciation toward aesthetic month and organizing any visual art
competitions.
In conclusion, these strategies are planned to help Visual Art Education Club in
inculcating ‘budaya ilmu’, appreciation towards aesthetic value and developing the
interest towards Visual Art among the trainee teachers of IPGM Campus Bahasa
Melayu. These strategies are then gateways towards the development of many Visual
Art activities which will produce educators who possess, understand, and appreciate the
aesthetic values and produce the value of professionalism among them.
8.0 ACTIVITIES
7.2 Organising visual art carnivals involving schools around Klang Valley and
IPGM of Middle Zone
7.6 Organising trips to art exhibitions of other IPGMs and Visual Art Center such
as ‘Balai Seni Lukis Negara’
With the establishment of this Visual Art Educational Club, we hope that it will be
the main medium in upgrading visual art. It will be as the medium of expressing
mind and aesthetic values. Thus, it helps in moulding the new generation of
teachers that parallel with our National Philosophy of Education and succeed to
hold national aspiration.We hope that planning to establishment our Visual Art
Educational Club will be approved because it can be give more benefits to the
others.
