1-Day High Speed Vedic Mathematics Workshop for Kids
A one day workshop for the children aged between 9-12 years was .organized on 2nd April Over twenty five kids attended the workshop which lasted little over two hours.
This was perhaps a very rare sig.ht to find these young children
sifting glued to their seats for so long; without getting restless. They enjoyed the workshop which was evident from
their enthusiasm to answer the questions. Kids made. notes which exhibited their sertousness and active participation.
The students were taughlconcepts of Element.ary Addition, Subt'raction and Multiplication. Fer the first time they were taught finger multiplication which was great fun since it was very tactile. One of the parents commented' thai this was a boon as they new don't
have to painfully remember the multiplication tables.
Since we were dealing with young kids it. was very essential to keep them motivated. They were adequately rewarded with goodies,as and when they answered first. This generated competition andaetivated the group.
This workshop was highly successful and a full fledged workshop for 5 days has
been organized during the summer vacations in June for the youn.ger ones.
