Rochester Mayor Robert Duffy Endorses Hoyt for Assembly
Joins Other Upstate Mayors and Congressman Higgins in Support of Hoyt BUFFALO, NY – Rochester Mayor Robert Duffy endorsed Assemblymember Sam Hoyt for reelection today. Mayor Duffy had this to say: “As Mayor of the third largest city in upstate, I know the challenges that New Yorkers are facing. Overcoming those requires skill, creativity and a commitment to working in a collaborative manner. Sam Hoyt possesses all of those qualities and that's why I'm proud to endorse Sam for the State Assembly. Sam will work with Andrew Cuomo and me to reduce the size and cost of government. We will work to clean up Albany and put New Yorkers back to work.” The endorsement from Duffy means Hoyt now has the endorsement of Mayors from Rochester, Syracuse, Albany and Niagara Falls, as well as the endorsement of Congressman Brian Higgins. “I'm honored to have the support of Mayor Duffy,” Hoyt said. “I look forward to working with Bob come January when I am back in the Assembly and he is our new Lieutenant Governor.” To view the other endorsements, go to -30-
