He followed the driver through a neighborhood in Chandler and ended up tasing the individual, However, Sgt. Truett received only 8 hours off and was not demoted. 2. Sgt. Stant has been the subject of 20-30 intemal investigations for misconduct, failure to supervise, etc. over the past year. Yet, he has not been demoted and has received days off only. 3. Sgt. Tumer received several complaints for unprofessional conduct from the public as well as from other employees. Again, there was 1io demotion, only & transfer, 4. Sgt. Truett stopped Officer Burnias for driving in excess of 90 MPH in a 45 zone, in a MPD vehicle with a prisoner in the vehicle while in Maricopa. He received only a written reprimand. 5. Sgts Hiett and Alameda, on separate dates, transported intoxicated prisoners to the Pinal County Jail in Florence. When the jail refused to admit the prisoners, the sgis released them onto the streets of Florence. No discipline was ever considered or given. 6. An MPD Offficer (sgt?) took an intoxicated female prisoner to Florence for incarceration. Again, the prisoner was released onto the streets of Florence. This time, she was found crying and with a broken hand. No discipline. 7. Officer J. Alsidez received a bicycle as found property and placed the bike in her assigned patrol car. She left the bike in the car after she went off duty and took the bike to her residence in the take-home vehicle, Several days later, Property and Evidence contacted the officer regarding why the bike had not been placed into property. ‘The bike was returned to the Department. No formal discipline was issued. Yet, I am being demoted for less egregious facts. 8. Officer Curry has had two accidental discharges one with his firearm within the year. One of these nearly struck Officer O’Neal while inside the police building, No discipline was ever issued to Officer Curry. 9. Officer Drane on the night of my policy violation threw a custom cut vehicle tarpaulin in the trash, the tarp was never recovered, It was determined for the. same policy violation that her sergeant recommends discipline. It is yet undermined.
