PS/nVision Reporting Tool

This Red Paper is an introductory and practical guide for technical PS/nVision users, beginners, PS/nVision reports Developers and Oracle Global Customer Services analysts. This Red Paper discusses the PS/nVision reporting tool, it’s configuration within PeopleSoft Application and troubleshooting tips for PS/nVision related problems. Much of the information contained in this document originated from and within Customer’s production environments and PeopleSoft Development and is therefore based on "real-life" problems encountered in the field. The issues that are discussed here are the problems that prove to be the most common or troublesome.

STRUCTURE OF THIS RED PAPER This Red Paper provides guidance on basic understanding of PS/nVision reporting tool. Keep in mind that PeopleSoft updates this document as needed so that it reflects the most current feedback one receive from the field. Therefore, the structure, headings, contents, and length of this document is likely to vary with each posted version. To see if the document has been updated since users last downloaded it, compare the date of usersr version to the date of the version posted on Customer Connection.

To take full advantage of the information covered in this document, it is recommended that users should have a basic understanding of system administration, basic Internet architecture, relational database concepts/SQL, and how to use PeopleSoft applications. This document is not intended to replace the documentation delivered with the PeopleTools PS/nVision section. It is recommended that before any user reads this document, user should read the PIA related information in the PeopleTools People Books 8.49 to ensure that user have a well-rounded understanding of our PIA technology.
