Governor Candidate, Rochester Mayor Duffy Endorses Dan Maffei for Congress Duffy Joins Maffei at Campaign Kick Off Rally in Irondequoit

Today the future Lieutenant Governor of New York and Rochester’s Mayor, Robert Duffy, endorsed Dan Maffei’s campaign for congress. Duffy and Maffei appeared together at a Kick Off rally in Irondequoit. Maffei is running for reelection in the 25th Congressional District of New York, which includes the towns of Penfield, Irondequoit and Webster, as well as the entirety of Wayne and Onondaga Counties and part of Cayuga County. Mayor Duffy said: “Dan Maffei has been a terrific advocate for his constituents and Upstate New York. We need members of Congress like him. We need Representatives who understand how to strengthen and grow our economy and how to attract jobs to Rochester and the area. I want to make sure New York sends the strongest possible delegation to Washington DC to represent us and our needs. We’re facing such a tumultuous time in New York, and if I’m elected to be your Lieutenant Governor, I need to know I have partners like Dan Maffei fighting for Upstate New York.” Dan Maffei said: “It is an honor to be endorsed by our great Mayor of Rochester, Bob Duffy. We’ve been friends for years, and I’m thrilled he’s going to be New York’s next Lieutenant Governor. Albany desperately needs leadership like his, and I hope we will be able to continue to work together to strengthen our economy and create good jobs across Upstate New York.”
