€ Dependant Clause is the clause that: ƒ Cannot stay alone. ƒ Meaningless ƒ Use Subordinating Conjunction  So Dependant Clause is Fragment when it stays.

€ Cause: because, in that, since € Condition: if, although, unless € Manner: as, as though, as if € Result: in order that, so that € Time: after, before, since, until, when, whenever, while ‡ Examples: ‡ Because I am stupid. ‡ When I was young. ‡ After I read a book about Khmer. ‡ Although I am happy.

2.3. How to Correct Sentence Fragment
1. By adding information. Incorrect: At Western University. Correct: I study at Western University. Incorrect: While I was listening to radio. Correct: While I was listening to radio, my phone rang. 2. By joining sentence using FANBOY, Subordinating Conjunction, Semi Colon (;), or delete full stop. Incorrect: He likes playing soccer. Playing game. Correct: He likes playing soccer and playing game. Incorrect: His phone rang. While he was sleeping. Correct: His phone rang while he was sleeping. 3. By deleting subordinating conjunction. Incorrect: Although grammar is important for effective writing. Correct: Grammar is important for effective writing. Incorrect: After I read a book about Khmer History yesterday. Correct: I read a book about Khmer History yesterday.
