The protagonists of the great KurukÒetra battle, the Pæ≈∂ava and the Kaurava, belong to the lunar dynasty. We give hereunder the full genealogy of this line of descent until ∑æ‡tanu, the father of Bh∞Òma and the grandfather of DhƒtaræÒ†ra and Pæ≈∂u, that is 41 generations (cf MBh, I, 90).
