“Follow your Passion” To follow the vision from God and obey your heart’s desire requires obstacles, challenges and an adventure of faith. Through this adventure, He leads us to a better, enhanced future and world.
I greet you in hope that your passion which has withered your life is overfilled with Jesus’ tenderness and peace like a nice, cool, autumn breeze.

The couple, being appointed with dignity, came back to Senegal with encouragements and a great mission of disciple making. Furthermore, they will continue their training with me in Senegal. When Madam Maimouna is also preparing to share the great ministry in which Pastor Harouna is contributing. I hope that you will pray dearly for this couple. Pray that their thoughts and their sense of values, their philosophy of ministry and their training method will thoroughly make disciples of Jesus. Moreover, pray for their support so that they will not falter from their ministry.
1. Appointment Harouna as time staff
Numerous people invested on ‘one person’. The JDM representative in Korea who are: Pastor Yoon, Jung, Lee, and Park. Missionaries from England, Germany, and France. All has enormously helped with training Pastor Harouna and Madam Maimouna to make them into a biblical disciple-making. Some other people who were at the same place had this question, ‘Did everyone come from faraway countries for this couple?”. It was very surprising to them. The workers we call for aren’t just simple workers but those who are capable of transforming people’s lives with scripture and training. This is the cause of such an immense investment on this couple. The of 2 weeks
2. Campus Ministry
Most of the students returned to their homes due to the long summer vacation of their university. With our continuous care, encouragement and relationship, we visit their homes once in a while. Because of these visits, we hope to gain more trust which will hopefully stabilize the foundations in next years’ ministry with them. Pray that God’s presence will be with us during and after our visit and that this will create an opportunity for their acceptance of Christ Jesus. Also, in midst of the students, there are those who need to retake their test. Pray that these young students can continue their academics.
missionary conference and staff-training resulted in the commission of staff of Senegal of Pastor Harouna. Even though the ceremony was only participated by those who were in charge of the commission, it ended in a devotion and dignity of praising God. Especially the commission of staff of Senegal will be an ultimate point of the beginning of the continuous appointing of Senegal local staff. We raise the natives of the country and through them, we spread the gospel throughout the Francophonic Africa and make disciples of Jesus, gradually demolishing Satan’s power over the countries with a population 90% of more Muslim.
3. Sagna Vision Trip
We’re visiting Ibraihima who’s working in Sagna, a village of the Wolof Muslims once a month. Especially, Pastor Harouna and the two short-term missionaries are staying for a week there, helping them in the field of Ibraihima and also of others. In the afternoons, they share the gospel, helping Ib’s children and teenage club be secure. On our way to Sagna, we pass through Kaffrine, where Benny, a SIM missionary serves us with amazing food and a time of fellowship.
The Kims’ Prayer Letter
Pray for the crucial safety while driving 600km for the Vision Trip, and by doing this, the Lord will bless us with open hearts, planting churches and making disciples of the Wolof in and aournd Sagna area. Pray for the university students to join in the Vision Trip.

By looking at their personalities and characters, we thanked God for the second time of sending them to Senegal. I pray that God bwill bless them continuously as He’s been doing….
4. First couple community?
6. San, Kun, Soo And visit of Grandma
Serge from the University of Dakar and a few other University students from the church started praying for their future partners and sometime later a French girl of a friend of a friend of Serge started wanting to marry Serge. She came to Senegal because she likes the Country and was planning to stay for 3 months. Then she met Serge and soon she wanted to marry him so she’s going back to France for the permission of her parents and some documents and she’s planning on living in Senegal with Serge. Even though she is Catholic, she says that there are more guys who are better-looking and succeeded in life but none had a faith like Serge. As far as we know and observed, she’s well adapted at being open and friendly to even unknown strangers and first-time people. Pray the God will lead us through, whether this ends up as another summer memory or the first couple in our community.
Even though San’s fever fluctuated over the past two days, he went to school, but one day, due to 400C, he was absent. 11-grade is a important year: taking AP’s, SAT, TOEFL for ESL speakers all contribute to the increasing stress and pressure and also the daily homework, tests, and extracurricular activities. Kun and Soo are adapting well to their new school, even though they complain of lots of homework. Pray for their academics and their faith in midst of studying, since it’s easy to forget. Our Grandmother just turned 70 years-old, an age of celebration in Korea. Because of the abnormally hot weather last summer in Korea, she’s adapting very well, but it still gives her pain of the heat and also of her leg’s pain, in which one of her muscle is still in healing. We didn’t have time to show around even the city we reside in. Due to her visit, the kids are happy and there’s a constant flow of happiness and joy. Pray that her 3-month stay or more will heal her and help her in her knowledge of Sengal.
5. Short-term Missionaries....
After serving for a week in the Europe-Africa conference, the two Short-Term Missionaries parted for a tour in Europe where they can learn more of the world. With Paris and London as their center, they traveled to Belgium, Koln in Germany, and on their way back they visited Lisbon in Portugal. During their journey, they met with other shortterm missionaries and youths, various ethnic groups, numerous cultures and historical cities and buildings which opened their eyes on the world from Asia to Africa and Europe. We had a evaluation of our first-half of the term. We thanked God for their healthy physical, mental and spiritual progress and of their agreeable methods to solve small problems that sometimes ruin a healthy relationship.
May the Grace of God rest among all your ministries and families ! From Senegal Jo, Mi, San, Kun, Soo
