The Word of God: Reference in Life

In my daily existence in this world, I ask myself, “What is the most crucial thing in our

daily life that we should not neglect?” I find difficulty in answering this question. It took time to

answer it. Then, I asked somebody and listen to their answers. Most of them answered

“Prayer”. Actually, I almost agree with their answer. But, I still ask myself, “was it really the

prayer?” Then I think again of a much better answer. Thinking of a much better answer, I came

to realize “The word of God”. And I meditate and think of it.

Upon meditating on the word of God, I realized its significance and purpose in my daily

life. This is the answer to my question. And why is it should we should not neglect it? My

answer to this question;”because it is the one that guides me along my path”. Here I remember

the Psalm 23.

I can compare the word of God to a compass. As we all know that compass is an

instrument uses by the travelers as guide in their way going to the right direction. It’s almost

the same with the word of God. Every day in our life we always take a step along our journey

and in every step the word of God is like the compass that shows the right way. “I’m the way

the truth and the life.”(Jn14:6)

Another thing that can also be compared to the word of God is “A Manual”. I compared

it to a manual because it teaches you the right thing to do.
