The Strategic Goal

To Develop a high performance and a high commitment work environment to


counter the threat of surviving in the existing textile market

Analyzing the Environment

To precisely analyze the environment changes that have come in the organization

External Environment Scanning: To sustain in the market by competing the new


company with similar business strategies.

Internal Environment Scanning: To hold the existing employees from leaving the
organization and to prevent them from joining the competitors.

Strategy Formulation

Here we shall implement business –level strategy.

Taking into consideration distinguishing factors like cost-leadership and product


differentiation, the decision should be made revolving around the above factors
to gain the competitive advantage. Advanced technology, unique product feature,
efficient distribution capabilities, superior customer service and convenience are
some of the factors that can be worked upon to sustain the existing business and
to grow. Finally we have to be different from the competitors which is the only
strategy that works. Taking into consideration the market position tactics like
defending the existing market share and also grabbing the market share from the
competitor company, we can overcome the threat of losing the business.

Looking at the threat of losing the existing employees of the organization, several
strategies should be implemented such as employee appraisal, motivation and
realization of organizational goals.

Meeting up with the union leaders, a few new policies to be introduced like
performance based incentives for the employees, quarterly appraisals based on
performance and goal oriented promotions which would encourage high
performance and commitment towards the organization. Introduction of totally
new strategies to convince the union leaders to ensure the survival and growth of
the organization from the existing scenario is to be carried out by the HR
manager.

The above mentioned strategies and policies shall be introduced to the top
management and accordingly the changes shall evolve and finally the
performance evaluation shall ensure the proper implementation and formation of
the strategies made by the HR team.
