INTRODUCTION
In logistic environment is constantly involving as a result of
changes in markets, competitors, suppliers and technology.
In order to develop or refine an enterprise strategy to
match these changing environment systematic planning
design methodology is necessary to formally include the
relevant consideration and effectively evaluate alternatives.

These is done in 3 phase.

PHASE 1:- PROBLEM DEFINITION AND
PLANNING

Problem definition and planning phase is concerned with

feasibility assessment includes the situation analysis the
development of supportive logic and cost benefit estimate.
Project planning involve statement of objectives and
constraints, definition, of measurement standards,
identification of analysis techniques and development of
project work plan
PHASE 2:- DATA COLLECTION AND
ANALYSIS
The data collection and analysis phase includes assumption
and data collection and analyze, assumption development and
data collection include task to define the analysis approach,
formulation assumption identifying data sources.
Analysis step involves definitions of analysis, question,
completion of validation and base line analysis and
completion of alternative and sensibility analysis.
PHASE 3:- RECOMMENDATION AND
IMPLEMENTATION
The recommendation and implementation include the finale
plane.
The recommendation development includes identification
and evolution of best alternative.
The implementation step provide definition of a plan,
schedule development, definition of acceptance criteria and
final implementation.
ANALYSIS TECHNIQUE

1) Freight lane analysis:- A freight lane refers to the activity

between a pair of origin and destination point. Freight
lane analysis focuses on the balance of volume between
origin and destination points.
To maximize vehicle utilization, movements should be
balanced or roughly equal in both direction. Lane may
includes two or more point
2) Inventory Analysis :- These analysis considers a relative
products sales volume and inventory turnover and is
perform on ABC analysis 80% of sales are usually
accountant for 20% of their items.
It is also typical that 80% of the inventory account for
only 20% of volume. Knowledge of these characteristic
and the items that makeup each product group is useful in
targeting inventory commitment relative to sale can
selected for intensive management effort to reduce
inventory level and improve performance.
3) Segment Profitability:- segment profitability focus on
market customer and item profitability particularly
prospective of logistic experiment. Segment profit and
loss statement identifies the logistic cost differentiate
associated with surveying different customer logistic
segment profitability information can be used to focus
cost reduction efforts or to refine pricing strategy.
