The blocks!

A l/4"seam was used throughout the entire quilt.

Sew all of the pieced blocks at once and when you are done with the embroidery you will have everything ready to
finish your quilt!
I used I honeybun for all of the piecing. You will be making 10 four patch blocks. All ofthe rest is just sewing strips
together from your honey bun. I used all fabrics wifh a cream background try/ing to choose liglt and lighter fabrics,
to make sort oftone on tone squares. I wanted there to be a section oflighter fabrics on each side ofthe quilt to sort
of mimic the embroidered leaf blocks that are at the center top and bottom.

Four patch blocks

finished block size 2 l{2"
Make ten blocks

From light and lighter pints wilh cream background cut ten strips 1 Vz' by 6".
Pair up the Hght and lighter strips with right sides together so you have 5 pairs.
Seam one long edge on each.
Press seams to light side.

Cut twenty 2-patch squares I %".

Sew 2-patch squares together following diagram, alternating light and lighter pint squares.

 Assemble ten 4 patch blocks.Sew five 4 patch blocks together in a strip. You will now have two blocks of five 4
patch blocks each, measuring l0 Yz".

Cut four strips from your honey bun 10 %", using medium prints.
Sew one strip to each top and bottom ofyour 4 patch strips.

embroidery inside each block. From dark prints cut ten strips I Yz" by I %,,
,and cut ten strips
l0 yz" by | %. From medium prints cut eight l0 y2" by I Yz" strips. Frame each square
embroidery with the dark print strips.

Sew two rows of medium print strips to the top and bottom of each rectangle embroidery.

Layer, baste and quilt as desired.
Bind quilt with a dark print using your favorite method.
