. Sometimes senior employees do not want to change, and they do not like it when a company hires young people with less experience. An employees pride might prevent them from accepting new management. 1) First of all, I would talk about the situation with my boss. I will tell the boss about the behavior of the employees, and explain that I wish to hold a meeting with these employees. I will ask the boss that they inform the employees that issues like this will be dealt with through the chain of command. 2) I would hold a large meeting to talk to employees about the communication policies. In this meeting I would explain my goals, expectations, and standards. I would ask that employees should talk openly about their concerns, requests, and disagreements. Employees are more likely to speak if they are comfortable with the different methods of communication. 3) The next step would be to meet individually with the senior employees that I have had particular problems with. If there is a communication problem, it should be cleared up now, to avoid future disruption. 4) Check over my personal persona to ensure that I think that I am approachable by my employees, and that my employees are not uncomfortable with me. 5) If this goes on, I might need to take disciplinary action, to stop senior employees from damaging total commitment and morale.
