The People of the earth are like roughhewn stone, from a quarry.

We should become like that stone that has long had water, or wind, flowing over it, and which has become very smooth. Until we do, there is going to be much friction between us, and we, by are actions, are going to cause much deep, terrible suffering and grief upon the face of the earth. This process need not require nearly as long as is required for stone to become smooth by the polishing of nature. People are much more changeable than stone. What is required is a deep commitment on the part of the people to do good.
